A hero doesn’t need a cape
A hero doesn’t need to be recognized.
A hero doesn’t have to be a famous person
A hero can be a teacher
A hero can be your parent
Some heroes wish to be rewarded
But others don’t
A Hero just wants to make a difference
To help others be safe
They fight, they sacrifice, they die
And most people will move on
But I won’t
I’ll remember, and make sure others will remember
I’ll be like them and make a difference
I’ll show my kindness
Even if it’s never returned to me or if I get hurt
I wanna help others and protect them
So their mothers and fathers and wives and kids and friends can
see them come home alive
