Schenectady Boys Varsity Lacrosse Team Makes History with Victory over Greenwich
For the first time in the sport’s program, the Schenectady boys varsity lacrosse team made history April 12 with a 17-7 win over Greenwich. Beating them on their own field.
Greenwich is 1-2 which means that so far this lacrosse season they have two losses and one win. Last year their record was 10-5, beating half of the teams they played. After beating Greenwich, Schenectady has a 4-2 win percentage.
The match began tightly in the first quarter, both teams tying 3-3. However by quarter 2 it was clear Schenectady was surging ahead, outscoring Greenwich 4-0.
Maintaining their momentum, Schenectady continued to assert their dominance in both the 3rd and 4th quarters, both quarters scores being 5-2.
The leading point scorer of the game was Senior Midfielder Rorick Perry, racking up 7 goals, with 2 assists.
Congratulations to the Schenectady High School Boys Varsity Lacrosse Team.
