Lieutenant Thomas Kelly with the Schenectady Police Department would like to invite all high school students to be a part of the Law Enforcement Engagement Program (LEEP).
LEEP was “created to facilitate a positive environment where students and officers can engage,” Lt. Kelly said.
In this club, students discuss all the different aspects of policing and what police do in our community. We often have educational outings in the community, Lt. Kelly said. The most recent one was Scarnectady, an event where we handed out candy to kids.
The club meets twice a month from 3:30 to 4:30 in Room D20.
