SCHENECTADY – Paige Elementary School offered Dads Bring Your Children to School Day this fall.

On Sept. 21, more than 350 dads and male figures came to the Schenectady community schools, and took pictures with their children.

Dads Bring Your Children to School Day was a huge success, Superintendent Anibal Soler Jr. wrote in his weekly brief.  “It presents an opportunity for dads to get to know one another and for schools to get to know the dads and encourage their involvement throughout the year,” he said. 

This nationwide fatherhood engagement event began in 2007 as an outreach initiative to help fathers encourage their children’s education.
